SEC Chairman Arthur Levitt Praises Investing for Success Program

Washington, DC, October 5, 2000 - Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Arthur Levitt today praised the  Investment Company Institute Education Foundation and the National Urban League for their joint efforts in creating the Investing for Success Campaign. Levitt’s  remarks came at 60th anniversary celebration of the Investment Company Act of 1940.

The program, which was announced today, is designed to increase awareness of sound investing principles among minorities through a series of brochures, articles, videos, and seminars.
